“ Delicious Greek food! No, should I say authentic delicious Greek food, it is great. Plenty of options in the menu, excellent service, great ambiance. Plenty of parking and BYOB, can't go wrong with that! ”

Service is 4/5 Nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes they take a while to check in on you when you're seated outside but they remember to get back to you at a reasonable time. Ambiance 3/5 No frills type of place. Outdoor seating is next to parking. I still prefer to dine outside weather permitting. I come here for the food and it has never disappointed! ”

We love all of their fresh well prepared well seasoned seafood in particular the branzino. We love there lemon artichoke appetizer and their octopus and the saganaki! Service is always excellent they of course know us and we always feel special with the way they treat us. We've been regulars and we'll stay regulars ”
“ My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Angelo's Greek Taverna on a Friday night. It was our first time trying out the restaurant. We knew we wanted Greek food, but were unsure of local options in the area, so we searched on Yelp and found Angelo's in Maywood. That sundried tomato hummus that comes with the complimentary warm pita triangles was so good. I think my husband already made up his mind to return based on this hummus. It's a cozy tavern. We were seated at one of the tables against the wall with plush bench seating. Our waiter was friendly and took care of us. We appreciated that he offered suggestions when I asked about which of the vegetarian options he would pick. Btw, the menu handed to us clearly has a vegetarian section, which is a plus. That night, I ordered vegetarian so my husband and I could share and sample a little of everything together. Here's what we ordered at the restaurant (all recommended!) - Meatless Moussaka with Soup of the Day - lentil - Assorted Hot Platter with Salad - Baklava - Walnut Cake It was nice to see a vegetarian moussaka, and the one made here was so good. That bechamel sauce top layer was everything! We both agreed - one of the best meatless moussakas we've ever had! ”

The gyro sandwich is my go-to. They only had 2 high chairs available, but fairly kid-friendly and great service. It feels like your cozy neighborhood spot. Would love to come back soon! ”
